Sales Up, Prices Down August 2011 in Haverhill, MA

The median price of single-family homes in Haverhill, Massachusetts decreased in August 2011 while sales increased, according to data compiled using MLS Property Information Network, Inc, a local multiple listing service.

The median price of single-family homes fell 5.2 percent in August 2011 compared to the previous year, a difference of $13,000; however, single-family home sales in Haverhill, MA  jumped 63.6 percent in August 2011, a difference of 14 sales compared to the same month last year.   

Condominium sales increased 18.2 percent in August 2011, a difference of two sales compared to August 2010.The median price of condos increased 12.8 percent in August 2011, a difference of $19,500 compared to August 2010.

Sales of multi-family homes decreased 50 percent in August 2011, a difference of six sales compared to August 2010. The median price of multi-family homes rose 24.7 percent in August 2011, a difference of $39,050 compared to the previous year.
