Plymouth, MA Single-family Home Sales Increase More Than 8 Percent in 2011, Median Price Declines Nearly 3 Percent

The median price of single-family homes in Plymouth, Massachusetts decreased in 2011; however, single-family home sales increased, according to data compiled using MLS Property Information Network, Inc, a local multiple listing service.

The median price of single-family homes fell 2.9 percent in 2011 compared to 2010, a difference of $8,250.  On the other hand, single-family home sales in Plymouth, MA increased 8.7 percent in 2011, an additional 40 sales compared to the previous year.  

Condominium sales increased 20.2 percent in 2011, a difference of 23 sales compared to 2010. The median price of condos rose 3.4 percent in 2011, an increase of $7,500 compared to the previous year.

Multi-family home sales decreased 20 percent in 2011, a difference of three sales compared to 2010. The median price of multi-family homes fell 12.7 percent in 2011, a difference of $40,000 compared to 2010.

Plymouth, MA Home Prices Flat First Half of 2011

The median price of single-family homes in Plymouth, Massachusetts stabilized in the first half of 2011 as sales decreased, according to data compiled using MLS Property Information Network, Inc, a local multiple listing service.

The median price of single-family homes increased 0.2 percent in the first half of 2011 compared to the previous year, a difference of only $500.  Single-family home sales in Plymouth, MA decreased 14.6 percent in the first six months of 2011, a difference of 35 sales compared to the previous year. 

From January through June 2011, the median price of condominiums decreased 22.8 percent, or $49,480 compared to the first half of 2010.  With more affordable prices, condominium sales jumped 37.3 percent, a difference of 19 sales. 

The median price of multi-family homes fell 15.3 percent in the first half of 2011 compared to the previous year, a difference of $52,500.  Sales of multi-family homes fell 50 percent in the first six months of 2011, a difference of five sales compared to the same six-month period in 2010.

Plymouth, Massachusetts Single-family Home Sales Decrease, Prices Stabilize in 2010

Sales of single-family homes in Plymouth, Massachusetts decreased in 2010 while the median home price stabilized, according to data compiled using MLS Property Information Network, Inc, the local multiple listing service. 

Single-family homes sales in Plymouth, MA decreased 9.1 percent in 2010, a difference of 46 sales compared to 2009. The median price of single-family homes remained flat, rising 0.2 percent in 2010 compared to the previous year, a $500 difference. 

The median price of condominiums also remained mostly flat, falling only 1.1 percent, or $2,500, compared to 2009. Condo sales in Plymouth, MA rose 11.8 percent in 2010, an increase of 12 sales. 

Both sales and the median price of multi-family homes increased in 2010. Sales rose 15.4 percent compared to 2009, a difference of two sales, while the median price rose 17.5 percent, a difference of $47,000.
