The median price of single-family homes in Tewksbury, Massachusetts increased 9.3 percent in the first quarter of 2010 while sales jumped 40 percent, according to data compiled from MLS Property Information Network, Inc.

In the first quarter of 2010 the median price of single-family homes in Tewksbury, MA increased 9.3 percent, or $28,550, compared to the first quarter of 2009. If the median price of a home in Tewksbury increases for all of 2010, it will be the first time since 2005. 

Sales of single-family homes were also up in the first quarter of 2010. Compared to Q1 of 2009, sales jumped 40 percent, an increase of 12 home sales.

Condominium Sales:

Although sales increased 19 percent, from 21 to 25 sales in the first quarter, the median price of condominiums in Tewksbury, MA declined 28.3 percent, or $96,000. The median price of a condo in Tewksbury was $339,000 in the first quarter of 2009 compared to $243,000 in the first three months of 2010.

Tewksbury, MA Homes Sales Remain Fairly Consistent

Between January 1st and June 30th, Tewksbury, Massachusetts has averaged around 79 single-family homes sold. During this time period in 2006 78 houses sold. Through the first two quarters of 2007 88 houses were sold. In 2008 78 houses were sold again. In 2009 only 74 single-family homes were told during the time period.
